Diablo
Redesigning Diablo was a fun task as I am a fan of the original two games. For whichever reason, I remember Diablo being a thinner being in the first of the franchise. Later I learned that was not the case. At the time I made this, my mind’s eye saw him thin, moving with a grace that is ethereal and akin to claymation. To push his unique sillouette, I enlarged the horns quite a bit and tried to give them a unique shape. You will notice that his head appears to be floating above his body—it is. The gape at his crown is an aesthetic that I chose to tie him to the gates of hell—a spikes hole where his neck should be, spouting flame.

Krampus
Krampus to me is a holy demon of sorts. While conceptualizing him, I really wanted to incorporate some element that was not scary at all and make it scary. A snowflake came to mind immediately. I kept with the motif of Santa Claus, as again, these were very friendly elements that I felt could be twisted and unsettling. Can you find the child in the image?

Jason
For this redesign of the horror icon Jason Voorhees I wanted to really push the fact that he has become his environment over the years. He is almost akin to a zombie with how his story unfolds throughout the sequels so I thought that tying him to the environment more would be fitting—hence the skin peeling back and vines and such growing out of him—making him even more difficult to kill being less human than he ever was.
